MRDC Operations Corporation follows the principles identified under the ISO14001 Environment Management System which incorporates the monitoring for wildlife and any impacts of winter operations. The aim is to achieve consistent, state-of-the-art environmental management with a focus on pollution prevention. MRDC has also implemented a comprehensive salt management plan, and has been presented with the 2009 Excellence in Storage Award from the Canadian Salt Institute.
